The Model 12 chamber is a Farmer-type thimble chamber and is made of air-equivalent plastic C552. The chamber is particularly suited for calibration of therapy beams in terms of absorbed dose in water in accordance with established protocols such as that published by TG-21 of the Radiation Therapy Committee of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (Med. Phys 10, 741-771 (1983)).

Stem:	Black phenolic, 0.5 in OD by 9, 5, or 4 in long. Two-piece stem consisting of a 4 in segment at chamber and a 5 in segment threaded together is also available.
