The CRS Radiation Beam Scanner is a low-cost, lightweight water phantom for comprehensive QA testing of external beam quality. Its fully modular design allows for the addition of a number of add-on accessories, including a Film Densitometer. The software package, included, allows for easy, intuitive scan data analysis including beam flatness, symmetry, percent depth dose, isodose curves, TMR tables, and more. The system consists of precision motorized drive mechanisms for 3D beam mapping, a water tank, a dual channel electrometer, and a comprehensive software package. All components are made of the highest quality materials available including anodized aluminum, stainless steel, plated steel, and high impact plastics. All the mechanical drives and scanning mechanisms are precision machined and designed for long life and trouble free operation in ordinary tap water. Variable scanning speeds of 0 to 150mm/sec make this one of the fastest scanners on the market today. Due to the high-precision stepping motors, a high degree of positioning accuracy and reproducibility are assured at any scanning speed. The system will perform a 20cm scan in less than 10 seconds with 800 data points with better than 0.13mm accuracy. The external electrometer for single-channel or dual-channel applications collects measurement signals from the ion chambers and transmits them directly to the PC. All scanning functions are controlled via the PC from the convenience of the control room. Thick transmission cables and cable clutter is eliminated. The water-scanning and film-scanning software is designed for manual and fully-automated beam data acquisition for both photon and electron energies. The comprehensive software package offers measurement and analysis of beam profiles and depth dose including flatness, symmetry, PDD, generation of isodose curves, and TMR (with optional lift table). The software also allows for direct interfacing and data transfer to numerous treatment planning systems. The system is available in two dimensional and three dimensional configurations to suit any facility’s needs and budget. Features:
